1. Do you have the proper drivers? (Either linux ones or ndiswrapped windows) 2. Make sure you are root (use su or something) 3. googlegooglegoogle :) I'm no linux pro, but I hope I helped :) |

zomg! sudo -i cause i hate having to type it in all the time and i don't if i have the right drive its the broadcom sta one im not a linux master either and i googled the **** outta of it for like 3 - 4 hours then made the post im not one of those people who just posts help threads without trying it myself first and researching it [removed by the staff - contained inappropriate language, sorry macd3v] |

If you can't find the right drivers for your broadcom wifu card then you need to use the ndiswrapper to install the windows drivers macd3v :-)

remember my card doesn't work on windows lol it sees the ssid but when i try to connect tells me its out of range and to refresh even if im sitting right beside the router but it works in linux go figure with the sta driver no worries about the edit it was all extra venting :P frustration |

Hey macd3v, I just re-read your thread and I have exactly the same problem! xD My card doesn't support monitor mode either so I had to use an external WiFu adapter I think x)

lspci -vnn | grep 14e4 what pci id does it give you? certain pci id's work and others don't if i remember right 14e4:4312 works but 4315 doesn't you can look into ndiswrapper and wl and see if they added support for them yet. its been a while since I checked it out but I also assume broadcom's drivers are still close and they didn't release them

Broadcom's drivers are non-open source, they're way behind some of the other manufacturers :-) At least that's how it was and might still be.
